Please note that a replica of the original stand, commissioned by John Cecil, 6th Earl of Exeter (d. 1721), appointed Queen Anne's "Chief Butler" at her Coronation in 1702 sold by Christie's from Burghley, Stamford in 1888 and from the Mulliner Collection in 1924, is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum. A similar model including kettle sold $19,000 (excluding premium) Christie's New York, 20 April, 2001, Lot 221.
