A Naples (Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea) white biscuit classical bust of Democrates or Aristotle
Circa 1790
Modelled by Filippo Tagliolini, bust-length with his head leaning slightly forwards, his hair and beard finely modelled, part of his toga in evidence at his right shoulder, supported by a reeded stand on a waisted moulded circular socle on a square plinth (broken through above socle and restored, restoration to one corner of plinth, some slight staining, slight chipping to edges of plinth)
