A NORTH EUROPEAN BRONZE AGE SWORD
14TH-13TH CENTURY B.C.
The long straight bronze blade with pronounced mid-rib and tang, the pommel with lozenge-shaped terminal recessed for inlay with rings around a central boss; and a sheet bronze hand-guard for the left hand, decorated with embossed dot-punched decoration, with everted wrist flange, late 2nd/early 1st millennium B.C.
