With slender tapering three-stage barrel with octagonal then polygonal breech-section, flat lock with shaped tail, wheel-bracket and cock each chiselled with foliage, and sprung pan-cover, walnut three-quarter stock (fore-end cracked through and repaired) inset with ivory, bone, mother-of-pearl and horn pellets and plaques, and carved in relief with a mask at the ramrod-entry, iron mounts including fluted trigger-guard, butt-cap pierced with a grotesque mask, and ramrod-pipe pierced and engraved with flowering foliage, and later ivory-tipped ramrod
