Set with a cushion-shaped padparadscha weighing 14.65 carats, within a pear-shaped diamond gallery surround, to the brilliant-cut diamond half-hoop, mounted in 18k white, ring size 5, in brown suede Etcetera case

With maker's mark for Etcetera
Accompanied by report no. 58689 dated 17 March 2011 from the SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute stating that the 14.65 carat padparadscha sapphire is of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) origin, with no indications of heating; also accompanied by an appendix stating that the natural padparadscha possesses extraordinary characteristics and merits special mention and appreciation. The padparadscha exhibits a subtle orange pink colour, characteristic for this variety of corundum, combined with a fine purity and an attractive shape and cutting style. Microscopic examination revealed few inclusions, which represent the hallmarks of the reputed classical source of padparadscha in Ceylon (Sri Lanka). The stone has been spared exposure to any treatment and its clarity and colour are all natural. A natural padparadscha from Ceylon of this quality is rare

Also accompanied by report no. 9704063 dated 22 April 1997 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the 14.65 carat sapphire is of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of thermal treatment and this colour variety may also be called "Padparadscha" in the trade
