Enamelled in blue and detailed in greyish black, with a frisky Pekinese to the central roundel, surrounded by four panels depicting a parrot, a cockatoo, a pair of doves and a crane, reserved on a trellis diaper pattern in tones of peach and sepia between blue line borders, rim frittings

拍品專文

The very Western animals in this decoration and the distinctive trellis pattern are highly reminiscent of Cornelis Pronk's designs for the VOC, and if nothing else, certainly reflect the prevailing taste of the time. Both the dog and the parrot are found as motifs on Meissen porcelain of this period. For a similar example see Howard & Ayers, China for the West, vol.I, London, 1978, p. 296
