A pair of French ormolu-mounted parcel-gilt turquoise-ground Sèvres-pattern vases, on parcel-gilt carved walnut pedestals
Circa 1880
Each with a waisted neck, above a baluster body decorated to one side with a mythological scene signed T. Quentin, the reverse with an angel, flanked to each side by a seated putto, on a spreading socle and square shaped plinth, each side centred by a grotesque mask, on an octagonal base, supported by four female sphinxes, on a shaped square base, centred to each side by a palmette, on four feet
Each vase: 44 in. (112 cm.) high;
Each pedestal: 41½ in. (105.5 cm.) high (4)
