Both surmounted by a pierced three-quarter gallery, one with a brèche d'Alep marble top, the other depicting a pagoda in a landscape; each with a drawer to the front, the sides and front decorated with trelice pattern, on four cabriole legs, each headed by a foliate clasp, on cast sabots

The decoration to both is slightly worn to areas. Possible areas of refreshment to the decoration. The marble top table possibly previously with a japanede top. The locks replaced.

Jean-Henri Jansen established his business in 1880. He relocated to 9, rue Royale in 1885. He became Fournisseur de la Cour d'Espagne, manufacturing furniture in the old and new styles. Jansen exhibited at the 1883 Amsterdam Exhibition and at the Paris 1889 Exposition Universelle; he was awarded a Silver Medal at both.
