Each surmounted by a brèche violette marble top, the front centred by a cupboard door depicting playing cherubs within a flower garland, flanked to each side by a ribbon-tied flower-spray, all within a foliate frame, the sides each with a plain panel within a similar frame, on four foliate sabots; each stamped to the back of the carcass HENRY DASSON 1882

拍品专文

Henry Dasson (1825-1896) established his business at 106, Rue Vielle-du-Temple. He was renowned for the exceptional standard of the ormolu mounts that he used which had a high quality of mercurial gilding. He specialized in copies of Louis XIV, XV and XVI furniture, but he also manipulated 18th century designs to his own taste. He exhibited pieces at the Expositions Universelles in 1878 and 1889, when he received a Grand Prix Artistique for his display.
