Elongated octagonal with gadrooned border, the cover engraved with a coat-of-arms and with a detachable finial cast as a crest, one detached, each marked on end of base and cover

The arms are those of Dyke, almost certainly for Sir Thomas Dyke 4th Bt. (1763-1831), who suceeded his brother in 1809. (2)
