A pair of Meissen figures of a gallant and his companion
Second half of the 19th century, blue crossed swords mark, cancellation marks and Pressnummern
The first modelled standing next to a scrolling bracket support, wearing a floral jacket, a waistcoat unbuttoned to the waist, black breeches, and black buckled shoes, his hair tied with a black ribbon, he holds a basket of flowers under his left arm and offers a small bouquet to his companion, a spindle at his feet, standing before a tree issuing from rockwork on a rectangular gilt scrolling base, his companion modelled looking to her left, wearing a green hat, flowered dress, open bodice and full skirt, and pink shoes, holding a flower garland in one hand and a basket of flowers in the other, on a rectangular scrolled base (minor chipping and damages to spindle, boccage and dress, and hairline crack to his base)
