Each with a rockwork-carved tablet above a vine-picking hoho bird on a C-scroll and rockwork carved backplate, previously green-painted

Two pairs of virtually identical brackets were sold at Christie's New York, one pair was sold anonymously, 25 May 1993, lot 35 ($10,350;£ 6,728), the second pair was sold from the Elizabeth Parke Firestone Collection, March 1991, lot 889 ($15,400; £ 8,470).
