A related pair of torchères, dated 1842, was delivered by Charles Crozatier on 14 June 1845 to the Duc and Duchesse de Nemours for their Grand Salon at the Tuileries palace in Paris (ill. in Un âge d'or des arts décoratifs 1814-1848, Galerie nationales du Grand Palais, Paris, 10 octobre-30 décembre 1991, Réunion des Musées Nationaux, Paris, 1991, pp. 390-391). Crozatier created several different models of torchères or candelabra with nymphs, all of different sizes.
