Both jardinieres are potted with eight petal lobes each decorated with a puce-enamelled bat descending upon a lotus below a wan symbol flanked by chilong against blue foliage, all between bands of lappets and ruyi, the everted rim further decorated with a foliage scroll interspersed with puce-enamelled florettes, all supported on four ruyi-shaped feet (one with small rim chip)
