A PAIR OF STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE FIGURES OF MUSICIANS
Circa 1825
Modeled as a lady and gentleman playing flute and mandolin, both seated in high-backed chairs, he has a musical score open on his lap, a stack of manuscripts on a mandolin case beneath the chair, she has a spaniel on her lap, a lute and further scores beneath her chair, both on ochre-lines rectangular bases with canted corners
