A PAIR OF VERTE-IMARI ARMORIAL PLATES
circa 1735
Each enamelled and gilt at the centre with a coat-of-arms, helmet, crest and supporters between the mottoes Spero Meliora above and Fides Probata Coronat below, within a blue enamel and gilt floral scrolling foliage band in the well, and two flower sprays divided by the crest repeated twice at the border, minute rim fritting

Lot Essay
