A set of four Regency bronze oil-lamp bases of this model was supplied to Thomas Wentworth Beaumont (d. 1848) for Bretton Park, Yorkshire at the time he was aggrandising the house under the architect Jeffrey Wyatville. Interestingly, Messrs. Benjamin Vulliamy and Sons are known to have supplied metalwork 'designed by Mr Jeffry Wyat' for Bretton in 1813 (G. de Bellaigue, 'The Vulliamy's Chimney-Pieces', FHSJ, 1997, pp. 212-3).
