A PALE GREENISH-WHITE JADE CENSER AND COVER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The censer raised on four shallow curved supports and with shallow flared sides carved in low relief with archaistic masks between the four peony blossoms well carved in high relief at the rim, two with a loop beneath to suspend a loose ring, the sides of the cover carved with a band of taotie masks below a separately-made peony-form finial with hollowed center, the stone of pale greenish-white color with some opaque white inclusions and added russet coloring
