A PALE GREYISH-GREEN AND RUSSET JADE DOUBLE GOURD-FORM 'FIVE BATS' VASE AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, 17TH-18TH CENTURY
The vase is carved in the form of a double gourd, with five bats, wufu amidst fruiting peach branches encircling the exterior. The cover is in the form of a stalk. The stone is of a pale greyish-green tone with areas of rich russet inclusions.
