Lot Essay

This rug was 'Commissioned by His Dignity, the progeny of the Sayyids, the pride of [all] merchants, Aqa Sayyid Ghulam Husayn Bijandi. It was completed in the carpet workshop of Aqa Mir Ghulam Husayn Darakhshi in sha'ban 1312 (January-February 1895).
