PUNJAB, NORTH INDIA, DATED VS 1898/1840-41 AD
Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, a noble seated cross-legged on a circular textile conversing with a blind mendicant and with an attendant behind, set inside a floral border with a gurmukhi inscription above and date in the wide pink margins, the reverse with a further gurmukhi inscription
Painting 8¾ x 6¾in. (21.5 x 17cm.); folio 11 7/8 x 9 7/8in. (30 x 25cm.)
