A RARE BLUE AND WHITE 'SHOU' VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The high-shouldered vase has a gently tapered body decorated overall with approximately one thousand shou characters in cobalt blue in twenty nine rows, rendered in various forms of seal script, all between herringbone borders around the mouth rim and the foot.
