A RARE CARVED TWO-COLOR LACQUER CIRCULAR BOX AND COVER
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER INCISED MARK IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The top finely carved through the red lacquer to an ochre ground with a central flower head from which radiates leafy, scrolling stems symmetrically interspersed with the Eight Daoist Emblems, the design repeated on the sides and again on the sides of the box, all within key-fret borders, with black-lacquered interior and base, the reign mark inscribed on the base
