A RARE CELADON-GLAZED CARVED SAUCER DISH
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The dish with rounded sides is decorated in the center with a shou character surrounded by four lingzhi-shaped clouds against a background of froth-capped waves encircled by a border of waves repeated on the exterior as a frieze, and is covered inside and out with a glaze of delicate blue-green color.
6¼ in. (16 cm.) diam.
