A rare, early 16th century unascribed diamond point spoon,
of good gauge, the squat faceted terminal on a broad tapering hexagonal stem with a wide fig-shaped bowl, struck once with an eight pointed star mark, within a pelleted circle and stamped twice on the back of the stem with an incuse eight pointed star? mark, one of which is overstricking a drop-shaped mark, likely to be of West Country origin, first half of the 16th century - 15cm long, 1.25oz.
