A RARE FAMILLE ROSE PLATE WITH 'THE TOMBSTONE' CIRCA 1760 Enamelled with a grieving widow declining the advances of a gentleman, both standing on a terrace beside a large tombstone, on top of which lies a weeping putti leaning on the head of a lion, the border with scattered flower sprays, rim hairline 9 in. (23 cm.) diam.
