A vase of this form covered in a ge-type glaze bearing a Yongzheng mark was included in the National Palace Museum, Taibei, Special Exhibition, Monochrome Porcelains of the Ch'ing Dynasty, 1981, Catalogue, no. 83; and another decorated in underglaze-blue and enamelled yellow sold in these Rooms, The Imperial Sale, 27 April 1997, lot 67.

The shape is inspired by Xuande prototypes. Two are illustrated in the National Palace Museum, Taibei, Special Exhibition of Hsuan-te Wares, 1980, Catalogue, nos. 6 and 7.
