The material of soft-blue tone suffused with a white swirl to the mid section, the undecorated bowl apparently imitating a claire-de-lune glazed porcelain bowl

Compare with several other Yongzheng-marked glass vessels, one a blue glass wheel engraved bowl with dragons in the Asian Art Museum, San Francisco, included in The China Institute exhibition, Clear as Crystal, Red as Flame, Later Chinese Glass, 1990, Catalogue, no. 12; and a blue glass zhadou included in Spink & Son Ltd exhibition The Minor Arts of China, IV, 1989, Catalogue, no. 109.
