A RARE PERCUSSION K BORE HARPOON GUN by W.W. GREENER, circa 1870
The massive iron barrel of K bore, is mounted with a heavy bronze sighting rib set with fore-sight, retained with two large screws and is marked W.W. GREENER BIRMINGHAM, with hinged cover plate secured by a chained pin at back enclosing the percussion hammer and nipple in a water-tight compartment, massive walnut stock with trunions and swivel yoke, with iron barbed harpoon. The whole upon a walnut stand with a brass plate marked THE ORIGINAL MODEL HARPOON GUN/FROM THE SHOWROOMS OF W.W. GREENER.

54 inches overall, 51 inch harpoon
This gun retains much original black finish to barrel and stock, though with some wear and marks. From the showrooms of Greener's. (2)
