A Regency mahogany striking bracket clock, circa 1800
The arched case with brass lion mask ring handles to the sides above arched brass fish scale sound frets (one replaced), reeded band above the base below, on brass ball feet, the white painted Roman convex dial (some losses) with pierced and black painted hands, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with shouldered plates, anchor escapement and strike on bell, the back plate with engraved border, lacking pendulum holdfast -- 17¾in. (45cm.) high
