The stool, executed in oak to evoke early 19th century Elizabethan taste, has its reed-enriched pillars capped by palm-flowers such as feature on a Grecian sofa or chaise longue displayed in Scone's Queen Victoria Suite (J. Jauncey, Scone Palace, 2003, p.38).
