Decorated overall with ornate neo-classical design, the cornice centered by the arms of the Duke of Argyll, above a pair of doors with torch-bearing griffins concealing ten small fitted drawers, on a later stand

Lot Essay

This medal cabinet was likely supplied to George William Campbell (1768-1839), 6th Duke of Argyll. He succeeded to the title in 1806.
