Oblong, the gadrooned rim with foliage at corners, the cover surmounted by an acanthus handle, each side of cover engraved with a coat-of-arms, the base engraved with a crest, the underside of base engraved with presentation inscription dated 1939 for Benjamin Rush, marked on body, cover and handle
