The arms are those of Camden, for John Jeffreys Pratt, 2nd Earl and 1st Marquis of Camden (1759-1840). Pratt, a Tory statesman, was made a Knight of the Garter in 1799 and elevated to Marquis in 1812. His various positions included Lord of the Admiralty, Lord of the Treasury, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Secretary of State for War and the Colonies, and Chancellor of Cambridge University from 1834-1840.
