The white enamel Roman dial signed ROBERT PENNINGTON LONDON 224 with fine gold spade hands, subsidiary seconds at VI with delicate blued steel hand, the gilt full plate movement signed Robert Pennington London 224, diamond endstone to free-sprung blued steel helical hairspring, Pennington's patent bimetallic compensated balance, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement, jewelled locking stone, the silver consular case with casemaker's mark IN for and hallmarked London 1810; accompanied by a fitted mahogany three-tier box with vacant circular bone plaque to the top lid
