A Roman Micro-mosaic and parcel-gilt black-painted centre table Circa 1850 The shaped rectangular top centred by a strapwork cartouche depicitng the Coliseum and St Peter's, inscribed ROMA 1843, flanked to each side by a medallion portrait, AUGUSTO IMPERATORE to the left, LEONE X PON. MAX to the right, within a flower, vine and grape garland, the corners each with a medallion profile within a strapwork cartouche, respectively RAFFAELE SECOLO XVI, ROSSINI SECOLO XIX, MICHELANGELO SECOLO XVI and CANOVA SECOLO XIX, above a fluted frieze, the front and back each centred by a coat of arms, the sides each with a ribbon-tied trophy, on four fluted tapering legs, joined by an 'X'-shaped fluted turned stretcher, centred by a Neo-classical flaming urn, on toupie feet 31¼ in. (79.5 cm.) high; 58¼ in. (148 cm.) wide; 35½ in. (90 cm.) deep
