Perhaps Jupiter, his oval face with prominent cheekbones and a broad nose, the almond-shaped lidded eyes beneath modelled brows, the pupils articulated, his lips partially obscured by a heavy moustache, his full beard split at the chin, his hair a mass of thick wavy locks, the central locks swept up in an anastole, the individual strands of hair delineated by incision
