CIRCA 1890, APPLIED PINK TRIANGULAR PAD MARK, THE COCKEREL LATE 19TH CENTURY
The first modelled standing wearing a wide straw hat, cream waistcoat, blue jacket and pink breeches, holding a basket of feed on which balances a bird, a flock of geese and chickens at his feet, on a circular leaf-moulded base with three scroll feet (light chipping to extremities); the cockerell naturally modelled its plumage enriched in orange, black, green, pink, its crest and tail-feathers in gilt, on a white oval base
