PROBABLY TABRIZ, SAFAVID IRAN, EARLY 17TH CENTURY
Of rounded profile moulded with spiralling ribs, on short foot and with sloping rim, the cobalt-blue decoration on white ground, the central leafy flower in the centre set within a seven-petalled radiating floral composition, the rim with a band of 'S' shaped motifs reserved against the white ground, minor chips, crackled, otherwise intact, with old collection labels
