Comprising a pair of scissors, a paper knife and a pen rest, the scissors with handles tooled to form a mirrored calligraphic composition reading one of the ninety-nine names of God ya fattah (O Opener), the blades opening to reveal cypress trees, the pen rest with a small applied ivory panel and with openwork finial, each decorated with dense floral decoration, sold with a late 19th century Ottoman divit
