The lively group of bald-headed recluses finely carved seated in various postures on broad lotus leaves each accompanied by his distinctive emblem, including attendants, bowls, rings and scrolls, dragons, drums and tigers, the ivory of a warm tone darkened at the backs of the figures, two with minor age cracks and extremity chips
