A set of three Japanese Imari bowls and a Samson charger
18th and 19th Century
Painted to the exterior with shaped panels of phoenix in flight, the inner roundel enclosing a flower spray, one with small rim chip, 14.5 cm. diam.; and a Samson Imari charger, decorated with peony issuing from rockwork, below shaped underglaze-blue panels reserved with scrollwork and buddhistic lions, restored, 56.3 cm. diam.
