the center with the view of a landscape within France within a gilt Greek Key surround, the bleu agate border gilt with anthemia and laurel

PROVENANCE
Supplied to Louis-Philippe of France for the Tuilleries Palace, 1833.

The present plate is from a service supplied to Louis Philippe for the Tuilleries Palace. Comprising a total of 133 pieces at a total cost of 18,160 French francs. Most of the landscapes were painted by Langlacé, Lebel, and Develly. Another plate from this service was sold anonymously, Christie's Paris, 23 June 2005, lot 360.
