Blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter r for 1770, painter's marks for Pouillot and Théodore and incised jM to the cooler, the flowers predominently 18th century
The oval bottle cooler with acanthus scroll handles, painted with scattered bouquets and sprigs beneath a feuille-de-choux band and fitted with a modern two-tiered gilt metal mesh into which have been placed porcelain flowers on wrapped wire stems, gilt line rim
12¾ in. (32.3 cm.) wide overall
