LATE MING-EARLY QING DYNASTY
The censer, of rectangular section, is raised on four cylindrical feet. Each side is intricately embellished with silver inlay to depict a taotie mask, the base is inlaid with a Shisou mark. Each of the four corners is divided by vertical protruding flanges and the mouth rim is set with a pair of upright loop handles.
