In the Japanese taste, the hammered body chased with a crane over a lily pond with cattails and flowers, one side with a stylized monogram LDB, with removable cover and overhead handle with later synthetic insulators, the stand with removable hinge pins on chain and on four legs centering a circular burner, engraved under base of teapot Laura Dove Blanchard from SFCB April 1881, marked under base of teapot, stand and burner, also stamped with retailer J.E. CALDWELL & CO.
11½in. high; gross weight 36oz.
