THIS MID 20TH CENTURY EXQUISITE CUSTOM ORDERED SADDLE WAS MADE FOR WILLARD H. BEANLAND. MR. BEANLAND WAS EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT FOR THE PALOMINO HORSE ASSOCIATION AND RODE IN 35 SUCCESSIVE TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADES. COWBOYS AND AMERICAN INDIANS ARE THE THEME FOR THE HEAVY STERLING SILVER WHICH ADORNS THIS BEAUTIFUL FULLY CARVED BLACK LEATHER SADDLE. THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE SADDLE AS WELL AS THE CANTLE BOARD, SKIRTS, BACK JOCKEYS, FENDERS, AND TAPADEROS ARE COMPLETELY EMBELLISHED WITH ENGRAVED SILVER. THE GULLET, CANTLE BINDING, AND HORN NECK ARE DECORATED WITH BOHLIN'S FAMOUS STERLING ROPE ROLL. THE BORDER ORNAMENTATION IS COMPOSED OF CONCHAS WITH BUCKING HORSES AND AMERICAN INDIAN HEAD MOTIFS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SADDLE, MARTINGALE, BRIDLE, AND SARAPE. INSCRIBED ON THE BACK OF THE CANTLE W.H.B.
