A silver pomander
Apparently unmarked, probably German, 17th Century
Realistically formed as a skull, the hinged back opening with a small screw, the interior divided into six compartments
3 cm. (1 1/8 in.) high
24 gr. (0,7 oz.)

With Margriet Verbeek- Schuttelaar, Gouda, 1998, acquired by Mrs Anton Dreesmann as a gift for
Dr Anton C.R. Dreesmann (inventory no. G-134).
