MARK OF WILLIAM FORBES, NEW YORK, 1839-1851, RETAILED BY BALL, TOMPKINS AND BLACK
Oval, on four scroll feet with spiral rococo joins, the body chased with a band of flowers against a matte ground and centering two cartouches, one engraved with a crest with monogram ER beneath, the domed cover chased with flowers and leaf border, and leaf-clad ring finial, the handles with leaf joins, marked under base
16 in. long; 98 oz.
