A SIMULATED BAMBOO BRUSHPOT

The brushpot is of cylindrical form, one side potted with a vertical indentation, the exterior carved with six gold fish swimming amongst water weeds, covered with caramel-yellow enamel to imitate bamboo, further decorated on the mouth and foot rims with stippled light-brown enamel against a yellow-ground to simulate bamboo grain, the interior and base with a transparent glaze, the convex base bearing an incised four-character mark, Wenfu Yawan
